PMI DC Symposium 2018

The Project Management Symposium this year was well attended and informative. The presentation by Aaron Hall and his team from CARFAX was especially interesting to me. Titled "Effectively Balancing Sound Project and Portfolio Management Fundamentals with the Flexibility of Agile Delivery at CARFAX" their presentation walked the group through the processes they employed to evolve to a data driven organization over the past few years. They implored people to determine their processes first, deploy using simple tools (such as excel and powerpoint) and then evolve to automated tools that best fit your process. They are now using Roadmunk for their roadmaps, which looks to be an impressive tool that I plan to investigate.
