Annie's Project Class
I’m interested in creating tech solutions for food producers (farmers, ranchers, aquaculture, etc.), so I’ve joined an 8 week class called Annie’s Project. The class is for women who want to learn more about the business of farming. In this session Pat Reynolds was a terrific presenter on the topic of farm insurance. She imparted valuable advice for what to consider when insuring your farm and property.
I have noticed in my meetings with women farmers that there are many similarities between women in farming and women in tech. Both groups are independent, smart, bold, and resourceful. As part of the class we’ve received a flash drive full of useful information including; budgeting, business planning, financial statements, farm production information, and on and on. I’m looking forward to week three.
