Four fascinating presentations were provided at the Data Visualization DC meetup. The diverse topics shared were - data visualization for cybersecurity, environmental monitoring, neurofeedback, and internet use. All of the topics were thought provoking and I enjoyed trying out www.webhistorian.org afterward to see my own web history displayed in easy to absorb ways. If you log on there you have the opportunity to opt-in to a research study. The neurofeedback and environmental monitoring projects shared their experiences using rapid prototyping in creating visualizations with teams. The cybersecurity presentation went in depth into visualizations they are using to improve efficiency and accuracy in detecting threats. Here are the presentations:
